Cyberpunk 2077 is a very immersive RPG that lets you build your character to your liking from the ground up. You can choose your origins which ultimately impacts the story somewhat. Another implication of the character creator and the way the world reacts to you is the choice of the gender you opted for. You can choose either the male or female gender. But what about when you want to change your gender later on in the game?
Cyberpunk 2077 lets you choose your gender at the start of the game in much detail. Once the gender is selected and you start to play the game, you cannot change your gender although you can change the appearance from within the Mirror in V’s apartment.
Character Creator In Cyberpunk 2077
Cyberpunk 2077 has a robust character creator when starting the game. You can select the origin story of your character that will have some implications on the gameplay later on. You can even choose your gender and overall nitty gritty of your look in much detail. Speaking of gender, you can even select or customize the type and size of both male and female genitalia. Now that is an in-depth character creator.
When all your choices for the character are done you can begin playing the game. After this, you can customize the look of your character even more by wearing clothes and general accessories. Later down the line, if you feel as though the character you have created doesn’t suit your style and want to go back to the drawing board then there is a way of doing so.

Change V’s Appearance
In the base version of Cyberpunk 2077, you were stuck with the appearance you initially went for but with the launch of update 1.5, you can now finally change your V’s look. To get this option, you need to have played the game to the point where you have access to V’s apartment/safe house. Inside your home, there will be a Mirror, usually in the bathroom, which you can interact with and then select the CHANGE APPEARANCE option.
This will take you back to the Cyberpunk 2077 appearance editor, where you can modify every aspect of how V looks. From hairstyle and eye color to piercings, scars, and so much more, you can make small tweaks or give yourself an entire makeover. Sadly though you can’t go quite as far as changing your gender. You can change your look however many times you want, there are no limitations in terms of usage or any particular item required to initiate it.
The lack of gender customizing is maybe due to the way the game is hardwired from the start to react according to your gender like dialogues from NPCs and/or clothing amongst other things.
You do have the liberty to change many aspects of your look in Cyberpunk 2077 from ethnicity to eye color, etc. but don’t expect to completely change your gender. However, to change your gender you will have to start a new game.
