Have you ever thought about turning your enemies into your personal meat shields while you march through the battlefield while they soak up all of the damage? We have only seen this in Hollywood Movies but we get to pull this off in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 as well.
The move quickly turned into a meme in the Bo6 community and if you don’t want to get left behind then this guide presents you with the nitty-gritty details of how you can pull this off as well.
Body Shield Move Explained
If you have seen any of the crime movies or documentaries where the antagonist takes a person hostage and uses them as meat shields to escape from the protagonist. You can now do that move in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 as well.
If you are able to successfully execute the move, you will hold the enemy in front of your body and put a gun over their shoulder to shoot. The enemy will absorb any incoming damage for the next 15 seconds or until a teammate of steps in.
You also have the option to finish them off before the timer hits zero but while you are using the other person as a body shield, you can’t shoot them with your gun although you can finish them off either with a Finisher Move or a simple melee attack. Once the time is up, your character will kill the enemy by twisting their neck.
Something you should remember is that if you enter the water during this move, the hostage will escape and if you drop down from a certain height, again the hostage will escape and the tables might turn. If the enemy’s teammates deal enough damage within fifteen seconds, it doesn’t count as a death on their part and technically they survive.
Another thing that happens during this brief encounter is that the proximity voice chat automatically turns on and makes up for some of the funniest interactions throughout the game.
How to do the Body Shield Move in CoD Black Ops 6?
Using this move is no rocket science. You have to be a bit sneaky though if you want to pull this off. First, walk right up behind the person you want to use as a Body Shield. Once you are close enough, you will see two prompts on the screen.
One will be for the Body Shield move and the second one will be to perform a finisher. Here are the key binds for different platforms:
PC: Double-Tap V
PlayStation: Double-Tap R3
Xbox: Double-Tap RS
If you are using a custom layout, it is simply your melee button, holding which will do the executioner move and double-tapping will initiate the Body Sheild move.
Body Shield Tips
While the move itself is not hard to execute, there are still some things that can help you out in the process. If you want your chances of executing the Body Sheild move in Black Ops 6 to double, then you should consider using the Ninja Perk. It masks your footstep, making it easier for you to sneak up behind an enemy.
If you are using this move in a busy neighborhood with tons of enemies around, just let the timer run out or let the enemies kill them as the animation is a tad bit quicker, and your chances of dying after the timer ends drop by a fair bit.
There you have it folks! Turn your enemies into your personal bullet sponges while you scream the most vile insults known to mankind in their ears. This move might just be our personal favorite in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Go on, give it a turn, and enjoy the look on enemies’ faces while they realize that they are part of the ultimate meme compilation.
