The Pig is a stealthy killer and she can transition into an aggressive one with the right use of her crouching-dashing ability. This makes her very easy to choose for players. However, her special Reverse Bear Trap ability does take some getting used to.

Are The Pig Perks worth upgrading?

What Powers does The Pig have?

Her main power comes in the form of Jigsaw’s Baptism. She has 4 Reverse Bear Traps in her arsenal from the get-go. She can only place these traps on the heads of downed survivors. The traps will stay inactive until one of the generators is completed.

Once a generator is finished, all the inactive traps spring into action. Survivors with them on will have 150 seconds before the traps go off. If the Death Timer runs out, the trap will trigger, instantly killing the survivor right then and there. It will count as a sacrifice directly.

The timer will pause for the moment the survivor is either hooked, downed, or being chased by the killer. Survivors can not use the exit gate if the trap is active. If they reach the point of no return with an active trap, they will die. They can, however, leave with an inactive trap.

Survivors with active traps will have to seek out Jigsaw Boxes randomly placed on the map. A random number of these boxes from 1 to 4 will have to be searched for the key to deactivate the trap and get out of the trial.

The killer can Crouch to become Undetectable at the cost of lower movement speed. It makes her incredibly stealthy and aids in stalking her prey.

Additionally, she can perform an Ambush Dash attack which needs to be charged while crouched. The dash lasts for 2 seconds and her movement speed is heightened.

Here are some tips that you can employ when playing as this killer:

• Crate of Gears and Bag of Gears add-ons will increase the time it takes survivors to search the Jigsaw Boxes. It means that they will be sitting ducks while searching for the solution and you can take that time to get a jump on them.
• Combat Straps add-on will let you transition from standing to crouched and vice versa faster.
• If you are really into the stealthy killing style then John’s Medical File add-on makes her move faster while crouched.
• The Shattered Syringe and Workshop Grease add-ons will lower the downtime of missing an Ambush Dash and the latter will also charge this ability quicker.
• Needless to say, attach the Reverse Bear Traps on every survivor you can get your hands on. The best strategy at the start is to target each survivor in the trial and gradually try to place the trap on all of them as soon as possible.
• Try not to chase survivors with active traps on them. They will be busy finding the solution ignoring all objectives. Divert your attention to other trap-less survivors in the meantime.
• Placing a trap around the time of the last generator will stop the survivors dead in their tracks. They will be forced to find the Jigsaw Boxes before they can exit.
• The Reverse Bear Traps will rarely get a kill but their terrifying nature causes a widespread panic which the killer can capitalize on.
• Use her crouching Undetectable state with a mix of good tracking perks and add-ons to surprise unsuspecting survivors.
• You can utilize her crouch-ambush dash ability in loops to quickly catch up to pursuing prey. Not an easy maneuver to pull off though.
