How Long Is Path of Exile 2?

How Long Is Path of Exile 2?

ARPGs like Path of Exile 2 are somewhat of an infinite experience, considering the endless content of the endgame that players so dearly love to invest time in. However, there is always an ending, especially the main story stuff, and after that, the content gets repetitive, and it becomes all about that sweet grind.

Focusing solely on the initial three Acts, you are looking at 30+ hours of content in Path of Exile 2. The latter Cruel Acts will take 20 more hours to complete, totaling around 50+ hours of content. (Doesn’t include Endgame)

Still, we are here to answer the question, “How long is Path of Exile 2 exactly?”. The game length is extremely contextual, depending on your playstyle and indulgence.

Path of Exile 2 Game Length

Path of Exile 2 Game Length

As we’ve mentioned above, Focusing solely on the initial three Acts, you are looking at 30+ hours of content in Path of Exile 2. The latter Cruel Acts will take 20 more hours to complete, totaling around 50+ hours of content. And this doesn’t include the Endgame.

Before we dole out the runtime numbers, do keep in mind that this game is still in early access. More Acts and content are promised by the developers in the coming future. As announced, three more Acts are coming (4 to 6), replacing the Cruelty Difficulty Acts.

Path of Exile 2 is a time hog of a game that fans of the genre absolutely respect. It has so much content that it intimidates the ones looking from the outside. Just seeing the passive skill tree makes you realize how detailed an experience this is.

You are looking at multiple classes and subclasses for each class, repeatable missions, new Cruelty difficulty that unlocks after completing the main quest with new (but same) Acts, an endgame with loads of content, and every mechanic as rich as it can be and then some.

Path of Exile 2 classes

As per the devs, Grinding Gear Games, Path of Exile 2 should take around 25 hours to complete and it will double in number when the game is fully released.

As per the players, this stated game length number changes significantly depending on your play style and how much you are willing to invest in everything in the game.

From our experience of different kind of players on our team, we are looking at around 10+ hours to beat a single Act. This equates to roughly 30+ hours just to beat the three Acts.

Path of Exile 2

The Cruel Acts will see you go through the campaign again, much like New Game+. However, since you are more well-equipped by now, you will likely blaze through it albeit the increased difficulty will take some adjusting to. You can add another 20 hours to beat these new Acts. This bumps the Path of Exile 2 game length close to 50+ hours.

Path of Exile 2 endgame

This doesn’t include the nearly infinite endgame you unlock after the Cruel Acts when you reach Atlas. Here, you’ll go through randomly generated maps of endless progression with the goal of reaching that coveted level 100.

We won’t even bother putting the number of hours to the endgame since it is super vast and depends entirely on your commitment. Looking at how many hundreds of hours players have put in the previous entry, Path of Exile, you are in a world of endless possibilities. And the world will only expand from here.

We will cover some actual Path of Exile 2 game-length numbers players have reported in the later section.

Acts in Path of Exile 2

Acts in Path of Exile 2

Path of Exile 2 has three Acts right now spread across different zones in Wraeclast. After you finish the initial acts, you’ll unlock a rerun of the same three Acts on Cruelty difficulty. This has higher difficulty and better loot. After that, you’ll unlock the Endgame content.

Here are all the Acts, progressions, and missions in Path of Exile 2:

  • Act I
    • Reaching Clearfell
    • Secrets in the Dark
    • The Mysterious Shade
    • Sorrow Among Stones
    • The Trail of Corruption
    • The Mad Wolf of Ogham
  • Act II
    • Earning Passage
    • The Trail of Corruption

Don’t be intimidated by the game, though; there is something for everyone here. Casuals and hardcore veterans all have something to look forward to. Where and how long you take it from there is just a matter of how engrossed you are in Path of Exile 2.
