Warzone 2 has pretty much grounded itself as a cultural juggernaut amassing a healthy player base of 25 million users across all platforms. Season 2 is right around the corner and fans are crowding at the thought of Plunder making a return.
Yes, Plunder might be coming back to Warzone 2.0 in future seasons as data miners in the COD community have been able to find prompts and cash helicopters that are only present in the Plunder game mode. However, there is no official news about it making a return till now.
Some propose that Plunder making a return has no upsides, because they already have DMZ, but others have some reasonable claims and they aren’t afraid to back them up. Plunder is the fastest way to level up weapons in Warzone without the need of trying Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer mode.
There’s also word that the Battle Royale genre is getting kind of boring. I couldn’t agree more. You’re always full of adrenaline, waiting to kill or be killed. But you could’ve always dialed things down with Plunder. You could always respawn.
Is Plunder Making A Return In Warzone 2?
Whether you’re with or against the idea of Plunder making a return, it seems that the controversial game mode doesn’t care. In a recent glitch uploaded by user tiktokalnuke, we can see a glitched icon on the map that states “CALL IN A CASH DEPOSIT HELI”
If you didn’t know, there’s no way to call a cash deposit heli in any game mode besides Plunder. And it’s been long gone. But this glitch could either be the key to our answers. It could be a bug that’s not been taken care of or Plunder might be making a welcome return, that’s to say a welcome return in my book.
So, is Plunder making a return in Warzone 2? We’re not sure exactly. Maybe the developers forgot to patch out a few old icons and assets from the game, or they’re prepping for a return of the famous game mode that many find either a hit or a miss.
We might be hearing more from the devs in the coming months with the release of new seasons in Warzone 2.0.
