And if you’re about to mod Cyberpunk 2077 and are concerned about losing your in-game achievements. Then we’ll answer your question in this guide.
No, Mods in Cyberpunk 2077 do not disable achievements. If you are properly modding the game then you should not experience the loss of current or future achievements in Cyberpunk 2077.
The world of video game modding can be quite an unknown grey area for many of you. And it’s often because of this that players are wary of tampering with their games. However, if you’re looking to learn more about mods in Cyberpunk 2077, then keep reading this article.

Do Mods Disable Achievements in Cyberpunk 2077?
Mods in Cyberpunk 2077 do not disable achievements. CD Projekt Red has been quite forward-thinking in this regard since The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which did not have this feature either. At this point, it seems as if they expect that you will mod their game, and they’re cool with that.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a lush, expansive, open world with many features and tasks that you can take part in. However, several aspects of the game still feel like they could use improvements. You will find that the player base in particular is fond of various cosmetic and graphical mods to enhance the experience.
So it stands to reason that if you’re trying to add these mods to your game that you will wonder if it’ll affect your list of achievements. After all, many people are very connected with their achievements as they signify their progress within the game.
Fortunately, however, CD Projekt Red’s latest game, Cyberpunk 2077, does not disable your achievements if you mod the game. You neither lose the ability to gain new achievements nor lose access to any achievements that you might have previously attained. This is true regardless of the mod technique used.
Most Popular Mods in Cyberpunk 2077
If you’re glad, like I was, your achievement progress will not be lost due to mods. Then you might want to consider some of the best mods to add to your game to improve your experience. So let me save you the time and share some of my favorite mods that vastly improve the gaming experience in Cyberpunk 2077.
These Mods will include basic movement and travel mods, as well as various cosmetic mods that can make it far easier to play the game. None of the mods we’ll suggest will outright trivialize the game. But rather I believe in adding healthy mods that retain the game’s experience and provide quality-of-life features.
My top Mods include the following:
Cyber Engine Tweaks
The first mod on our list is the Cyber Engine Tweaks. This mod is incredible due to a few important reasons. For starters, it will make it easier for other modders to integrate mods into the game. So if you wish to add other mods to your game or are considering moving it yourself, This will make it easier to do that.
Secondly, it adds several interesting and varied UI elements to the game that will smoothen your gaming experience. It truly is quite an advantage as many of the base UI elements of Cyberpunk 2077 are lacking. Especially, when they are not able to communicate to you important information that you need.
Finally, the cherry on top is that there are several additional patches and quality-of-life fixes, that the mods creator added to this mod. This means that you will overall be experiencing a far better game than base Cyberpunk 2077. I love the Security Flaws fix, allowing the overall game to be more optimized.

Autonomous ReShade
This mod may not be a fix to the various graphical and texture issues that Cyberpunk 2077 is riddled with. But rather it can enhance the visual fidelity and effectiveness of the game itself. The game, unfortunately, still looks nowhere near as good as it did back before the game launched.
But this mod brings that dream far more into reality. This is done by Cyberpunk Autonomous ReShade by adding true HDR to the world of Night City. The simulated HDR in this mod is similar to the ones used in Unreal Engine 4 and combines a variety of effects such as visual effects, depth, and color to add more complexity to the look of Cyberpunk 2077.
I recommend checking this mod out if you’re looking for a mod to truly sync your teeth into.

AI Netrunners Enhanced
Putting aside technical issues from the game, and various other graphical problems. The only issue that remains with the game is the enemy AI. In the past, we had been told that you would get an advanced enemy AI. One where you could truly immerse yourself in the experience of the game.
However, this is not what we received. The enemy AI in Cyberpunk 2077 is laughably poor. This fact is changed though by the mod called AI Netrunners Enhanced. That specifically aims at improving a particular type of enemy: the netrunners.
The mod can achieve this by adding two crucial new features to the AI arsenal of this type of enemy. The first is that it provides more tools and abilities to the netrunners to hack you. They no longer just use Overheat but can use various functions to cause you distress.
Secondly, they now always get 3 out of a total of 10 different types of hacks. One of which will always be a damage type and the other will be a control type. And the AI has been coded to dynamically shift which one it utilizes based on the situation. Truly making battles exciting and engaging.
So yes, you can mod Cyberpunk 2077, and you won’t lose any of the progress you’ve made on your trophies. Nor will you disable the function of trophies. I hope that you find the mods listed above interesting and worth checking out. Happy gaming!
