Lies of P Chapters vs. From’s Areas

teleportation option through the Stargazers

Lies of P starts off like any other Soul-like game. You progress through initial locations to eventually unlock this game’s Firelink Shrine hub known as Hotel Krat. From here, there are various Chapters that P has to progressively complete.

FromSoft’s world design is far more branching, where some areas provide a fork in the road for the player to choose their next destination. In contrast, Lies of P is much more linear. There are little to no branching paths, and you are forced to move on to the next area or chapter, in this case, sequentially.

However, do not be confused by Round8’s naming scheme, it is not like Nioh where you have to select a particular chapter and finish them one at a time. Lies of P’s worlds are still very much interconnected and you can seamlessly move to previous chapters/areas and the hub world using the teleportation option through the Stargazers i.e. Bonfire.

Nonetheless, let us go over how many Chapters there are in this game.

How Long Will It Take to Finish Lies of P?

How Long Will It Take to Finish Lies of P?

Lies of P’s playthrough, much like any other Soul-like, will depend on the player’s skill level and curiosity. Many challenging bosses will hinder the player’s progression demanding multiple encounters before they can be taken down.

There are tons of collectibles, NPC questlines, weapons, and armor to discover which can easily take you off the beaten path, inflating the overall playtime.

Bee-lining the main story with efficient boss killing will take players around 25 hours to beat the game. But that’s no fun since most of the charm of the game is to interact with all the intriguing side content.

If you are one of the completionists like me then you are in for 50+ hours of genuine delight. This includes all the endings (separate playthroughs), all the collectibles, weapons, and NPC branching questlines.

Lies of P is a nicely paced game and none of its Chapters feel unnecessarily padded. You can always visit previous chapters by teleporting to earlier Stargazers. The Chapters are all unique, building firmly on the narrative of the game.
