How to Beat the Walking Mausoleum Without Barnacles

How to Beat the Walking Mausoleum Without Barnacles

There are a lot of secrets to find in Elden Ring, and one massive one is the giant Walking Mausoleums around the world. If you don’t know what they are, they allow you to duplicate remembrances from defeating certain important bosses. A few seem impossible to defeat, but there are ways to do it.

To beat the Walking Mausoleums without Barnacles on their feet, you will need to use your surroundings around the Mausoleum and use them to jump to the top section. You will then have to destroy the Barnacles on the outside of the actual building on the top of the beast for it to be defeated.

It can be a little confusing at first, but once you get it down, you won’t have to defeat them again until your next NG cycle or playthrough. To defeat most of them, you will need to destroy the white Barnacles around their feet, which will come crashing down into the ground. Remember that a few don’t allow for duplication of Shardbearer Boss Remembrances.

Liurnia of the Lakes Mausoleum

This Mausoleum can be found Northeast of Ray Lucaria, in the water area in front of the Ray Lucaria Crystal Tunnel Grace. It is right outside and very easy to spot because of its massive size. Go to the top of the water area in Liurnia of the Lakes, and you can’t miss it.

You must find the Spiritspring jump on the ground southeast of the East Raya Lucaria Gate Grace to get on top of it. Once you find it, you can use it to jump onto the top of the Mausoleum. You can duplicate Shardbearer Boss Remembrances at this one, which is worth completing. Remember to wait for later bosses so you can duplicate some insane items later on.

Deeproot Depths Mausoleum

This Mausoleum is underground. Find the Nameless Eternal City Grace if you are in the Deeproot Depths. Once you find it, follow the sound of giant footsteps, and you will eventually come across the second Mausoleum that you need to jump onto.

To get on top of it, you just need to climb the roots around it and then make a small jump onto the top. It is much easier than the previous Mausoleum, but getting to this area can be tricky. It is an optional area that many people will miss if they don’t explore it thoroughly.
