There are a lot of secrets to find in Elden Ring and one massive one is the giant Walking Mausoleums that are around the world. If you don’t know what they are, they allow you to duplicate Remembrances that you get from defeating certain important bosses. There are a few that seem impossible to defeat, but there are ways to do it.
To beat the Walking Mausoleums without Barnacles on their feet, you will need to use your surroundings around the Mausoleum and use them to jump to the top section. You will then have to destroy the Barnacles on the outside of the actual building on the top of the beast for it to be defeated.
It can be a little confusing to do at first, but once you get it down, you won’t have to defeat them again until your next NG cycle or playthrough. To defeat most of them, you will need to destroy the white Barnacles that are around their feet and it will come crashing down into the ground. Keep in mind that a few don’t allow for duplication of Shardbearer Boss Remembrances.
How many don’t have Barnacles on their feet?
There are only 2 Mausoleums that don’t have the Barnacles on their feet. Like we said before, the only way you are going to defeat these Mausoleums is by getting to the top section while it is still walking around. To do this, you are going to want to use the surrounding areas to jump to the top. We will go over both of them and tell you exactly how to get to the top.
Here are the 2 Mausoleums without Barnacles on their feet and how to defeat them:
Liurnia of the Lakes Mausoleum
This Mausoleum can be found Northeast of Ray Lucaria, in the water area in front of the Ray Lucaria Crystal Tunnel Grace. It is right outside, and very easy to spot because of its massive size. Basically, go to the top of the water area in Liurnia of the Lakes and you can’t miss it.
To get on top of it, you will need to find the Spiritspring jump on the ground southeast of the East Raya Lucaria Gate Grace. Once you found it, you can use it to jump onto the top of the Mausoleum. You can duplicate Shardbearer Boss Remembrances at this one so it is worth completing. Remember to wait for later bosses so you can duplicate some insane items later on.
Deeproot Depths Mausoleum
This Mausoleum is actually underground. If you find yourself in the Deeproot Depths, go and find the Nameless Eternal City Grace. Once you found it, follow the sound of giant footsteps and you will eventually come across the second Mausoleum that you need to jump onto.
To get on top of it, you just need to climb the roots around it and then make the small jump onto the top. It is much easier to do than the previous Mausoleum, but getting to this area can be a little tricky. It is an optional area that a lot of people will miss if they don’t explore thoroughly.
