You can equip any cosmetics that you have unlocked in Warhammer: Vermintide 2 by; accessing the Wardrobe in the Keep or it can be done anywhere by going into your Inventory and selecting the Cosmetics tab.
Cosmetics in Warhammer: Vermintide 2
Cosmetics in Warhammer: Vermintide 2 includes items that provide a fashionable flare to your character of choice. They only add aesthetic value to the character’s clothing and not much else like any buffs etc.
The Cosmetics you unlock will be unique to the character and the career you have chosen and more are added with special updates. Cosmetics include; Hats, Skins, and Portrait Frames.
There is another type of cosmetic in Vermintide 2 called Weapon Illusions. However, these Illusions are fundamentally different from cosmetics and are treated separately within the game. Illusions are essentially weapon skins, which stay on the weapon even if you find/upgrade other weapons of the same type.

How to Get Cosmetics in Warhammer: Vermintide 2?
There are multiple ways of unlocking cosmetics in Warhammer: Vermintide 2:
- If you own the original Vermintide (same platform) then you will unlock a cosmetic item for the first character you play as.
- Buying the Collector’s edition of Vermintide 2 will reward you with special cosmetic items.
- There is a chance of getting cosmetics from Commendation Chests, rewarded at the end of a match. There is a lesser chance of getting them from chests earned at easier difficulties. Chests earned from completing the hardest difficulty and Heroic Deeds have a higher chance of gifting cosmetics.
- Heroic Deeds are some of the hardest match types to complete. They frequently give you handicaps or increase the health of the boss. Also forcing you to play a map you know well in a different way than expected.
How to Equip Cosmetic Items
If and when you have unlocked cosmetics for your character and class, you can change/equip them from the Wardrobe in the Keep. You can find the wardrobe in the Equipment Room opposite of the Forge Room.
For quicker access to cosmetics, simply open the Inventory and select the Cosmetics button found near the bottom of the menu.
Cosmetics are a rare occurrence in Warhammer: Vermintide 2 and do end up requiring a bit of grind to unlock. Once you have them in your hands, simply visit the inventory or Wardrobe to put them on. With your badass drip on, you can slay them Ratkins in style. Who will say rat extermination is a bad job when you are oozing with style.
