Certain players in Apex Legends are just too much to bear. They drag your team down, do absolutely nothing while revealing your location to the enemy at the worst of times. Apex’s matchmaking system is downright bad. However, why is everyone so damn bad?
Playing with your friends feels much different, you get to have constructive talks about pushing strategies. You move as a unit and you fight tooth and nail for the first spot. Everything feels good, but why don’t randoms do the same with you?
To put it in simple terms, there is no sense of responsibility attached once you play with players from random areas of the world. Therefore, you can do whatever you want. Besides, what will these chumps do? Cry to their mothers?
While this mentality ruins the gaming experience for every Apex Legends player, there are times when a player is genuinely bad and just needs time to grow.
What Makes a Player Bad in Apex Legends
Bad players are generally known as parasites. They do nothing but get carried all game long. They often spend so much time looting that you can have a field day there and they still won’t be done.
This is because their main intention is not to go for kills. Instead, they want to have fun and enjoy what they do. Unlike these noobs, great players are thirsty for blood. They are Apex Predators (pun intended) that want to go in as many fights as possible to hone their skills.

You will often find them winning impossible 1v3 situations and they will do so with complete style. It often feels like your team is getting carried by them, but it is not much you can do about it.
Should You Be Ashamed of Being Bad?
We get it player, your Bronze domination knows no bounds. You are one of the greatest players to ever exist. Being dragged down by noobs has put needless shackles on your skill.
While there is not much that can be done about that. Being bad is not downright shameful. Consequently, you were at that stage once as well.
Many players have different ideologies on how the game should be played. However, the ultimate goal is to have fun. Therefore, isn’t it alright as long as you are enjoying the game?
How to Get Better at Apex Legends
Trying to push yourself to improve with non-serious teammates is admittedly a bad experience. Therefore, it won’t be a bad idea for Apex Legends to introduce a dynamic matchmaking feature for ranked.
In the meanwhile, you can try the following during your gameplay:
- Play aggressive
- Loot quickly
- Cooperate with your teammates
- Position yourself as efficiently as possible
- Learn from your mistakes
- Take advice from your teammates using Voice Chat
All in all, being bad at a game isn’t the end of the world. However, that doesn’t mean you should ruin the game experience for others by playing non seriously. The rest shouldn’t matter as long as you’re trying your best.
But if you aren’t, then we suggest you stick to the non-serious game modes instead.
