Minecraft has slowly and gradually taken the world by storm and almost every device with a screen has some sort of Minecraft edition to play on. Considering the game’s popularity comes from the many YouTubers who are exclusively playing this game and the community they have amassed it is safe to say that Minecraft is heavily reliant on the internet.
Custom maps, playing with friends, servers, and a lot of different features are tied to the internet and if you happen to lose it then the world comes crashing down especially if you are a Minecraft fanatic.
Luckily you don’t need the internet to play Minecraft and there are some basic games that you can play if the wifi has stopped working.

Do You Need Internet To Play Minecraft?
Initially, you do need an internet connection to download the game as it is not available in any physical media form, and to register it to the Mojang servers. And also if you want to add some mods, or download maps/worlds like puzzle worlds, or whatever tickles your fancy i.e. setup does require some form of connection. It may be possible to port the game from one computer to another but the simplest way is by getting online.
But after that, you can most certainly play offline. You can play alone, in your own world, there is no reason to be online at all anyway especially if you are playing or roleplaying as a loner character.

Some of the benefits of playing offline are:
- Avoiding Updates: Minecraft is constantly receiving updates and it might take up a bunch of space on your device especially if you have a tablet or mobile.
- Lag: Slow internet ruining your online fun in Minecraft then switching over to the offline worlds will rid you of this annoyance.
- Flexibility: Without internet you can play the game anytime and anywhere and not have to be close to a internet source.
- Trolls: You can skip getting hassled by the trolls that roam the online world of Minecraft.
Minecraft can be the same levels of fun if you embrace the offline game modes like survival and you can even create custom games. And if you want to get lost in a world especially if you are one of those players that utilize the creative mode to its extent then offline is your best friend to sink your attention into your creation.
