The Congregator of Flesh is the second Colossal Boss you’ll face in Lords of the Fallen. This teeth-full monstrosity likes to play with its food and will keep you on your feet if you are not prepared. Don’t let his stature fool you, he is very acrobatic. You’ll be thrust into this fight without you knowing it and the creature will take full advantage of your confused state.
Fortunately, with this guide, you’ll know all his moves and some nifty little tricks to put an end to his gluttonous terror.
Congregator of Flesh – Boss Strategy
The Congregator of Flesh is an agile monster for its size. It likes to use its lanky arm to attack you from a greater distance. He also jumps around often and charges at you if you back off for a breather. Most of attacks hit hard as a truck but are easy to read so read the section below to get an upper hand during the fight.
The boss doesn’t have a second phase per se but he does get even more aggressive when his health reaches 50%. During this time, he adds jumping stomps and poison attacks to his repertoire.
These are all the attacks and the right way of maneuvering them:
- Swipe/Backhand Slap:: He uses his long arm to swipe horizontally. He does the same with the backhand too.
- Reaction: Stay on the left side of the boss or dodge into the attack. Start attacking as soon as it is over.
- Chew: The boss stretches its arm to grab you and then picks you to eat you up.
- Reaction: Stay out of the arm’s span or dodge to the side.
- Fist Slam: Punches the ground in front of him.
- Reaction: Dodge towards the boss and use the I-frames to ignore it.
- Body Slam: Throws his whole body on the ground in front, covering a large area.
- Reaction: Run or dodge away from this attack. You can also dodge into it if you get the time right of the landing.
- Head Bump: Slams the ground in front of him using his noggin.
- When you see his head pull back, start dodging away. Try not to stay in front of this boss at all times -general rule.
- Dive: Lunges at you in front with his head.
- Dodge to the sides.
- Jump: Jumps straight into the air and slams the ground beneath.
- Reaction: When he is about to jump he’ll perch on his legs, this is your cue to bail.
- Charge: Runs forward trying to trample you.
- Run or dodge to the sides.
- Poison Wave: Sends out a poison shockwave.
- Reaction: You will see the wave coming towards you, simply move out of its way.
- Poison Cloud: Spreads poison clouds that linger for a while around him.
- Reaction: Move out of the clouds and let him come to you or let the clouds disperse and then move in.
Make sure to remove the Umbral Parasite as soon as possible using the Umbral Lamp behind the boss otherwise, it will keep on buffing him up.
Congregator of Flesh Cheese Strategy
You can kind of cheese the boss by sticking to his right leg (your left). Most of his attacks will completely miss you if you position yourself perfectly. If you move behind him, then he might sit on you, so avoid that. Only attack the right leg!
Keep whaling on him until he reaches the second phase, where his jump stomps and poison attacks can harm you. You will see the jump attack coming from a mile away so move away quickly. As for the poison clouds, let it build up while you keep up the pressure and consume the cure once it’s about to fill up.
Keep it up, and the boss will go down before you know it.
