Terraria can be confusing for first-timers, especially if they just got into Hard Mode. Learning the game’s basic mechanics is important to beating the game, and one huge mechanic to learn is how the bosses work.
You might find a boss that you didn’t think was there, and it one-shots you, or you can be randomly invaded by them unexpectedly.
Plantera’s Bulbs aren’t spawning in your world because you either haven’t given them enough time to spawn, or your seed doesn’t allow them to be spawned.
There are a few things you need to do before the Bulbs start spawning in, and after you complete those things, the Jungle becomes a giant deathtrap with more dangerous enemies. Just be sure you are ready to transform the Jungle into a giant death hole before defeating the last Mechanical boss.
Why aren’t Plantera Bulbs spawning?
There are 2 reasons for Plantera Bulbs not spawning. First, you haven’t waited enough time for them to spawn. It takes about 1 in-game day for a Bulb to spawn, and it is usually in a random spot in the Jungle. Consider looking at a seed map generator online if you can’t find it.
The second reason is that no bulbs have spawned in your world. It has happened before and can be extremely annoying, but give the game enough time; one might spawn eventually. It just takes a lot of waiting. Just be patient and consider completing other objectives to keep your mind off it. Come back later, and one might be sitting in the Jungle somewhere.
When do Plantera Bulbs start spawning?
Plantera’s Bulb will start spawning for you after you defeat all three Mechanical bosses once you reach Hard Mode.
This isn’t an easy task, especially if you are playing on Expert or Master mode, so if you are good luck. Once they are defeated, the Jungle will start changing, and you can find the Bulbs in random areas.
Here are the 3 Mechanical Bosses you need to defeat:
1. The Destroyer
The Destroyer is essentially a more difficult version of the Eater of Worlds. Like the Eater of Worlds, it is a very large worm. Although it appears to be similarly made up of many segments, individual segments cannot die and will not split into multiple entities.
2. The Twins
The Twins is essentially a more difficult version of the Eye of Cthulhu. The Twins are two separate flying entities, Retinazer and Spazmatism, connected by a tendril, each with its own attack pattern and life count. Both must be killed to defeat the boss.
3. Skeletron Prime
Skeletron Prime is essentially a more difficult version of Skeletron. It consists of a head and four limbs, but, similarly to Skeletron, only the head needs to be defeated to defeat the boss. The different limbs also have different parts, like lasers and saw blades.
