Wings In Terraria

Wings are accessories in Terraria that, once equipped, provide temporary flight capability to the player by holding the Jump button. They are also useful for negating fall damage which in turn saves you the trouble of acquiring specialty items that do just that like Lucky Horseshoe, Obsidian Horseshoe, Umbrella, and Featherfall Potions.

After the flight time of particular wings has finished you can still hold the Jump key to continue Gliding. Equipping Wings generally replaces jumps entirely with flight, rather than requiring a double jump to activate. Flight time resets when the player stands on blocks or grabs a block with a grappling hook.

The Calamity Mod introduces 9 types of wings, with 1 uniquely being available in Pre-Hardmode, 5 being available in Hardmode, and the other 3 being available post-Moon Lord.

This pair of wings has a slightly faster max speed than Exodus Wings, but lower acceleration and 50% less flight time. It also has a hover, unlike Exodus Wings. Drew’s Wings – Rating S

Drew’s Wings are a post-Moon Lord wing-type accessory that allow the player to fly and glide, dropped by Jungle Dragon, Yharon. They are incredibly powerful wings with the best raw flight stats in the game. They are used in crafting the Celestial Tracers.

The flight stats of Drew’s Wings are near-identical to that of Celestial Tracers, except that Drew’s Wings have superior flight time by a value of 111 frames. However, Celestial Tracers has improved horizontal acceleration compared to Drew’s Wings due to its inherited boot functionality, even in the air.

Some players may prefer using Drew’s Wings against Supreme Calamitas instead of the Celestial Tracers, not only for the increased flight time but also the reduced acceleration giving players tighter control over their movement.

Tool Tips

  • Absolutely Fabulous
  • Horizontal speed: 12
  • Acceleration multiplier: 3
  • Excellent vertical speed
  • Flight time: 361
  • Flight up to 368 blocks in 6 seconds
