Where to Spend Gold Bullions in Fallout 76?

Gold Bullions was first introduced in the Wastelanders update of Fallout 76 and is required to purchase plans and items from certain Gold Bullion merchants. Who are these vendors where you can spend your hard-earned Gold Bullions in Fallout 76 and where to find them? Read along and find out.

Gold Bullions can be spent at 4 different Gold Bullion traders in Fallout 76:

  • Mortimer: Located in the Raider town called The Crater.
  • Samuel: Located in the town of the Foundation.
  • Regs: Located in Vault 79 and is part of the Wastelanders storyline.
  • Minerva: She is a traveling merchant who can be found in three different locations. Depending on chance, she can be found at Foundation, Crater, or Fort Atlas.

What are Gold Bullions in Fallout 76?

Gold Bullions in Fallout 76

Gold Bullions are one of the many forms of currency found in Fallout 76. It is used to buy plans and items from specialized merchants who trade in Gold Bullions.

Items include special armor sets and weapon plans amongst other things. Every player character in Fallout 76 has a holding limit of 10,000 Gold Bullions at any given time. Gold Bullions are acquired by:

  • Earned as a reward for completing Secrets Revealed, the last quest in the Wastelanders questline.
  • Obtained by trading in Treasury Notes earned from public events and Settler/Raider daily quests at gold press machines.
  • Purchased from Smiley at the Wayward at a price of 1,000 caps per 50 bullion, up to a weekly limit of 300 bullion.
  • A total limit of 400 gold bullion can be gained from Treasury Notes, per day and character, with an additional 300 gold bullion per character being available for purchase from Smiley per week.

Where to Spend Gold Bullions in Fallout 76?

One thing to note here is that as some of these merchants belong to some faction so your standing with that faction will determine the items available to buy. To spend Gold Bullions you need to find the following merchants in Fallout 76:

Mortimer

Mortimer

The Wastelanders storyline will allow you to side with the Raiders and with that Mortimer will be available to trade Gold Bullions with. Although, you can always trade with this Mr. Handy robot-turned-vendor regardless of your choice in the questline.

However, choosing the Raiders will boost your standing with the faction thus opening up more items to buy with the Gold Bullions.

Mortimer is located in the Raider town called the Crater. The town is situated on the north side of the map, west of Prickett’s Fort. He is found in the Crater Core building that leads to the underground section, in the same room where Meg is.

Samuel

Samuel (Gold Bullions in Fallout 76)

Samuel, the Gold Bullion merchant, is associated with the Foundation faction. He is located in a town called Foundation, south part of the world map.

Depending on your standing with this faction, his inventory of Gold Bullion items will be considerably larger if you are in the faction’s good books.

Within Foundation, Samuel is located at the Spruce Knob Campground. He will be standing right in front of the sign that directs you to the Underground HQ Main Elevator.

Regs

Regs

Regs is a secret service member who you encounter from the Wastelanders storyline. He becomes a Gold Bullion merchant by the end of the quest. Regs do not require any reputation or faction standing to unlock their inventory. He has some of the best armor and weapon plans to trade.

Regs remain in Vault 79 by the end of the DLC quest. It is located to the east of the Bailey Family Cabin, northeast side of the map. Once you take the elevator down to the underground vault, he will be standing on the left side of the room right next to Slick.

Minerva

Minerva

While the previous merchants had a set address, Minerva is a traveling Gold Bullion merchant and can be found in different locations on the map.

Depending on the location she is at, her inventory changes accordingly so make sure to visit her often. She appears only during two events; Minerva’s Emporium and Minerva’s Big Sale.

Minerva can be found in one of three locations; The Crater, Foundation, or Fort Atlas. The Minerva’s Emporium event happens from Monday to Wednesday, and Minerva’s Big Sale, with exclusive discounts, appears from Thursday to Monday.


Gold Bullion can only be spent at select specialized merchants that deal in this particular currency. Some of these merchants do require faction standing to unlock their full list of goodies while others are open from the start. With the holding limit of the currency in place, it is best advised that you try to spend it before hitting that ceiling.
