As a Strength player, you need your weapon to be intimidating, able to easily squish any who dare to stand in the way of your crusade. Lords of the Fallen has no shortage of such weapons, but few exceptions do stand out. What are these hulking weapons we speak of? Well, read the suggestions below, and find out about the 5 best strength weapons in Lords of the Fallen.
A good Strength weapon must not only deal physical damage but also pack some different kinds of punches like other damage types or status effects. It should also have the best scaling with STR when fully upgraded.
1. Faithful Bludgeon
Stat Requirement | Strength: 28 |
Starting Level Scaling | Strength: C |
+10 Level Scaling | Strength: A |
Status Effects | Burn: 100 |
Damage Type | Physical |
Max Rune Slots | 3 |
Rune Slots | Slot 1: STR Slot 2: INF Slot 3: STR |
A simple yet effective Grand Hammer, the Faithful Hammer can be found pretty early on in the game near Skyrest Bridge. It can easily carry you through the entire game if you so choose. It is a good weapon for STR builds accompanied by an amazing moveset. The scaling will reach an A rating at +8 level and beyond.
The two-handed charged attack will thrust you into an enemy, bringing down the hammer with mighty force. It is perfect for closing distance with an attack. This attack can even flatten most weaker enemies giving you enough time to punish them while they recover.
Surprisingly, it is not an Inferno weapon yet it still applies a good amount of Burn build-up. Within a few successful hits, any enemy will be set ablaze dealing tick damage to them over time. It can however be buffed with other status effects meaning you are not locked out of other damage types to exploit enemy weaknesses.
2. Sword of Skin and Tooth
Stat Requirement | Strength: 36 |
Starting Level Scaling | Strength: B- |
+10 Level Scaling | Strength: A+ |
Status Effects | Burn: 200 |
Damage Type | Physical Fire |
Max Rune Slots | 3 |
Rune Slots | Slot 1: STR Slot 2: INF Slot 3: STR |
Another heavy weapon that is STR-based exclusively, yet there is a hint of hidden Inferno properties. Not only does it apply the Burn status effect in fewer hits, but also deals Fire damage, helping in exploiting enemies weak to fire damage. The sword can be found in Lower Calrath.
Additionally, compared to the previous weapon, this Grand Sword has a better initial STR scaling with B- and achieves A scaling at just +5 level, which only gets better as you upgrade it.
This means that you’ll be seeing better damage numbers even before you fully upgrade your weapon. We know the requirements are loftier to wield it but the weapon won’t disappoint.
Not to mention, it has the incredible Grand Sword moveset. The charged attack sends the enemy flying straight in the air, plopping to the ground and opening windows for free damage. While the horizontal sweeps can make quick work of mobs. Even the vertical strikes have a deceptively bigger hitbox than it looks.
3. The Iron Wayfarer’s Hammer
Stat Requirement | Strength: 31 |
Starting Level Scaling | Strength: C+ Agility: E Radiance: E Inferno: E |
+10 Level Scaling | Strength: S Agility: D Radiance: D Inferno: D |
Status Effects | None |
Damage Type | Physical Fire Holy Wither |
Max Rune Slots | 3 |
Rune Slots | Slot 1: STR Slot 2: STR Slot 3: ALL |
This is one of the more unique weapons on this list. Even though it has only STR requirements, it scales off all the other attributes. This is such an unusual thing that can be worked in your favor if you have other stats leveled up.
The icing on the cake is the S STR scaling it receives at +9 level giving it an unprecedented damage output.
Furthermore, this Grand Hammer deals all types of damage there are in the game. This helps in dealing a wide range of damage for every kind of enemy in the game. Sadly, it doesn’t pack any status effects, which is a good thing since you can buff it with any effect you want with Salts.
The Iron Wayfarer’s Hammer can be used by any STR build with ease, and the myriad of damage, buffing potential, and special scaling makes it highly adaptable for hybrid builds. You can grab it in Upper Calrath.
4. Ravager Gregory’s Sword
Stat Requirement | Strength: 30 Radiance: 30 |
Starting Level Scaling | Strength: C Radiance: C |
+10 Level Scaling | Strength: A+ Radiance: A+ |
Status Effects | None |
Damage Type | Physical Holy Wither |
Max Rune Slots | 3 |
Rune Slots | Slot 1: STR Slot 2: RAD Slot 3: ALL |
The Ravager Gregory’s Sword is for STR and RAD hybrid builds. It has one of the best scaling with each of the attributes when you fully upgrade it, whereby even at +7 level the weapon gets an A- scaling for both. This weapon is worth every material you invest in upgrading it.
It deals physical, holy, and wither damage, and the outcome is very deadly, especially for susceptible enemies. Following that, the weapon has the aforementioned excellent Grand Sword moveset that will cleave through baddies like butter.
The weapon can be bought from Exacter Dunmire in Skyrest Bridge after you have given him the Ravager Gregory’s Rosary.
5. Justice
Stat Requirement | Strength: 34 Radiance: 20 |
Starting Level Scaling | Strength: C+ Radiance: E |
+10 Level Scaling | Strength: A+ Radiance: D |
Status Effects | Smite: 200 |
Damage Type | Physical Holy |
Max Rune Slots | 3 |
Rune Slots | Slot 1: RAD Slot 2: STR Slot 3: RAD |
Justice is similar to the previous weapon, they both are Grand Swords and are made for STR and RAD hybrid builds. However, there are enough differences that make this weapon just as viable.
Justice trades in wither damage for the Smite status effect. When you apply this effect, it does a burst of Holy damage that takes away a chunk of enemy health, all the while making them more vulnerable to subsequent Holy damage until it fades away.
It doesn’t scale off RAD as much as Ravager Gregory’s Sword, but that just means it deals more physical damage, which almost every enemy is “weak” to. And it does do more physical damage!
You can get this weapon hidden behind a few boxes in Revelation Depths.
Strength weapons forego the rate of attack in favor of slow but meaningful damage. These types of builds often opt for a tanky playstyle and a ginormous weapon in hand to laugh at the face of challenge. These were some of the best strength-based weapons in Lords of the Fallen.
