Elden Ring has a ton of replayability, especially if you enjoy trying out new builds and classes. Every time you play through the game, you can make it as similar or as different as you want, and that is what gives these types of games their charm. One really good build you can create in Elden Ring are Faith Builds. These have the most potential to be diverse and it makes for some of the best builds in the game.
There are 15 really great weapons that you can get for Faith Builds, and each one is actually pretty unique. Most of them are Special Weapons though so that means you can’t change out the skills on each weapon. In this list, we listed the top 10 best Melee Weapons and the top 5 best Sacred Seals for Faith Builds.
There is a lot of potential with these weapons and all of them do scale with Faith. What is good about having your weapon scale with Faith, it makes your Incantation better as well. Once you start getting into magic stuff, the game is much different than a regular melee build, but it makes your experience a lot better.
Why would you want a Faith Build?
Faith Builds are some of the best builds you can create in the entire game. You can make a Sorcerer and Melee build, but nothing beats upgrading Faith and everything you use is scaled as well. Incantation magic is some of the best in the game because you can get some that heal you, boost attack and defense, and even spray fire out of nothing.
Everything you can do with a Faith Build is actually crazy and this list of weapons will help you determine what you want to be using. Some of the melee weapons are actually broken OP so if you like one and you see a weapon you don’t like on this list, then we are sorry. We are looking at straight-up stats and scaling for the weapons, not how fun it is to use.
Here are the best weapons for Faith Builds in Elden Ring:
10 Best Faith Melee Weapons
These are 10 of the best weapons you can use for Faith Scaling if you are doing a Faith Build. Not all these weapons are necessarily crazy, but they are all good recommendations on what you could use. As we get down to the bottom of the list, the weapons get insanely good, especially the Sword of Night and Flame.
10. Coded Sword
Location: Found in Leyndell, Royal Capital. If you found the alternate Round Table building, make your way to the west side of the building. You will find some horse stables and you are going to want to jump onto them. Follow the roof until you reach a door that leads into the side of the building. Make your way to the circle table and the Sword will be on top of it.
This weapon is a very odd weapon, but it is definitely one of the coolest Faith weapons in the game. What makes this weapon unique is its ability to cut through anything. Its skill allows you to deal damage no matter if the enemy is blocking or not. The scaling on this weapon isn’t crazy, but it is extremely useful if you need to cut through a lot of enemy shields.
If you are running around places with a ton of knights, this is a great weapon to use since you don’t have to wait for them to attack for them to be vulnerable. The downside to this weapon is that it only deals Faith damage so it’s not the best weapon to use against anything.
9. Black Knife
Location: This is a drop from defeating the Black Knife Assassin at the entrance of Sainted Hero’s Grave, in Altus Plateau. This boss is directly west of the Rampartside Path site.
This Dagger is by far one of the best in the game because of its skill. The weapon scales with Dexterity and Faith, and it is an extremely fast weapon. If you use this and a Sacred Seal, then you will pretty much be unstoppable if you know how to use it. The skill it has allows you to jump in the air and shoot a projectile that deals blood damage.
If you hit the enemy enough, their health will slowly drain and you don’t even have to do anything except let the skill work. Make sure you have enough FP though because if you have Incantations as well, you will quickly run out.
8. Golden Halberd
Location: It drops from the Tree Sentinel after you defeat him after the First Step Site of Grace.
This is the earliest Faith weapon you can get in the game because you can get it right after you walk out into the open world. It is not super easy to get, but if you can defeat the Tree Sentinel, it is definitely a weapon you should get early on. You don’t have to use it your entire playthrough, although you can. It is a weapon you should use until you can get something lower on this list later on.
7. Envoy’s Horn
Location: Chance to drop from the Oracle Envoys in Leyndell, Royal Capital. They are easily found in the East Capital Rampart area upon first entering the city.
You have probably seen the little snowmen people use this weapon in the city area, but you most likely didn’t know you can get this weapon and use it. There is a lower percentage chance that this will drop, but there are a ton of these enemies near the entrance to the city. Keep defeating them until you get it because it will be worth the grind.
Its skill allows you to doot your horn and shoot out bubbles of death. Why wouldn’t you want to do that in this game? It has some great Faith Scaling as well so you shouldn’t sleep on this weapon.
6. Gargoyle’s Black Halberd
Location: It is a drop after defeating Black Blade Kindred in North Caelid. It is an optional boss and it is found right in front of the Beast Sanctum building.
This weapon is one of the hardest to get on this list because of how annoying the fight is to get it. You can cheese the fight by running in and out of the building where he is, but if you fight him legitimately, you will have some trouble. You also won’t be able to defeat him early on, so you will have to wait until much later in the game.
If you can beat him a little after you start a new game, then props to you. He hits extremely hard and it is not easy to get your own attacks in. He moves very fast so you are going to have to memorize a lot of moves and get good at rolling to defeat him. It is a great Faith weapon to use if you can get it.
5. Golden Order Greatsword
Location: Dropped by Misbegotten Crusader in the Cave of the Forlorn.
If you enjoy Greatswords, then this is one of the best Faith Greatswords in the game. It is not that hard to get and it is one of the weapons you need for the Armament achievement. The skill isn’t the greatest thing in the world, but it does help get that extra damage in. The Skill blesses your sword with extra Faith damage, but it doesn’t last very long.
4. Maliketh’s Black Blade
Location: You are going to have to defeat Maliketh, the Black Blade, and get his Remembrance. Once you do, go to the lady in the Round Table and trade it for this weapon.
If you like a mix of bleed and Faith weapons, this one is one of the best. Its skill is a massive bleed AoE that is a direct move from the Maliketh boss fight. As we said before, the only way to get this is to trade Maliketh’s Remembrance to the lady for it and it is totally worth the trade. The developers made Remembrances cost a lot less so you are more inclined to not use it for Runes.
It is an insane sword and it is perfect if you want a build that does a ton of Faith damage. It also scales really well with Faith so keep that in mind when choosing a weapon.
3. Golden Epitaph
Location: Looted off a corpse located in Auriza Hero’s Grave. You’ll need to use the Stonesword Key on the Imp Statue to dispel the barrier blocking the entrance of the room where the body can be found.
This is one of our favorite swords in the game. The scaling on it is crazy, and its design is one of the best in any FromSoft game. It has the same skill as the Golden Order Greatsword, but it is a regular sword. It is a very good weapon to use for dual-wielding and we guarantee you won’t regret the upgrades for it. It goes really well with Crystal Swords if you like those as well.
2. Sacred Relic Sword
Location: You are going to have to defeat the final boss of the game to get this weapon. Once you get the Elden Remembrance, you can trade it for this weapon with the lady at the Round Table.
This is the hardest sword to get on this list because you need to defeat the final boss of Eldin Ring for it. When you do finally beat the game, this is a great sword to use after the final boss or even through NG+. Its skill is where it shines. It throws a giant shockwave of Faith that reaches an insane distance. It is by far the best weapon for farming Runes in the game.
1. Sword of Night and Flame
Location: It is found in Caria Manor. You need to start at the Manor Lower Level Site of Grace and make your way to the left on the walkways. You will eventually see a rooftop where you can jump down. Once you jump down, keep dropping till you find a ladder. Climb down the ladder and the sword will be in a chest in the room below.
This is by far the most overpowered weapon in the game besides the Icerind Hatchet and it makes the game extremely easy. If you do use this sword, you will be using the two abilities it has more often than your own Incantations. Try to use the abilities a lot less unless you want to cheese pretty much any boss or enemy in the game.
5 Best Faith Sacred Seals
These are all the best Sacred Seals you can get in the game. If your favorite one is not on here, then we are sorry, but these are the best ones we have found. We try to go by a consensus when considering the best weapons so these are the general best Sacred Seals you can find in Elden Ring.
5. Finger Seal
Location: Starting equipment for the Confessor and Prophet Classes. Can be purchased from Twin Maiden Husks at the Roundtable Hold.
Obviously, this is the starting weapon for the COnfessor and Prophet classes, but that doesn’t mean it is a bad weapon. If you can upgrade it, the scaling is actually very good for something so basic. It is the easiest Sacred Seal to get on this list and if you do want to get into Miracles and Incantations, then this is a good starter weapon to try it out.
4. Dragon Communion Seal
Location: Can be found at Fringefolk Hero’s Grave, right under the beginning of the game. You need to open the Imp Statue and explore the underground area with the chariot rolling around.
This is a really great Sacred Seal, but the only downside to it is that you do need Arcane to wield it. The upside to that is every Dragon Incantation is buffed while using it. The only great reason to use this Seal is if you are going to be using a ton of Dragon Incantations so its Arcane is necessary for everything you do with it. It all depends on what you are going to be using.
3. Godslayer’s Seal
Location: Found in Stormveil Castle right near the Scion in the room with all the arms hanging from the ceiling. Go into the room with all the rats and there should be an Imp Statue that you can go through that will have this item.
You can get this Seal pretty early on as well, and it definitely is one you want to get if you are a Miracle user. You can only get one in a single playthrough, but if you have multiple, you can actually stack buffs with it. If you have an attack buff, you can literally do triple damage if you use both in succession. It works very well if you also have Spirits that you summon a lot.
2. Erdtree Seal
Location: On a corpse near the Omenkiller enemy just after the Prison Town Church Site of Grace in Volcano Manor.
This is the perfect Seal if you want to go with Erdtree Incantations. It boosts any of those types and it scales insanely well with Faith. You can push it all the way to 67 Faith and it still goes up from there. Obviously, you don’t want to put too much into Faith, but it does help if you use Incantations a lot. If you do get this, make sure you know which Incantation or Miracle is better with it.
1. Golden Order Seal
Location: On the dead body of a corpse next to the Minor Erdtree Church Site of Grace in Leyndell, Royal Capital.
This is a good Seal if you want to have a good mix between Intelligence and Faith. It is the best option if you want to use the Sword of Night and Flame because the amount of each attribute you need is insane. It is by far the best scaling Seal, and it is a very good choice for people with more than just a Faith Incantation build. It is an all-around good Seal.
