This is Why You’re Stuck in Ranni’s Rise in Elden Ring

Elden RIng has a ton of side quests to find and complete, and there are some that are much longer than others. Some might have you go and find an item for a person, and others might have you do multiple steps just to complete it. It is up to you to figure out what to do next and that is what gives the game its fun. One question is why can’t you get out of Ranni’s Rise?

If you try to get out of Ranni’s Rise after talking to Ranni at the top of the tower, you have to talk to all the ghost people downstairs before you can leave. Once you talk to everyone, go talk to Ranni again at the top and she will say you should go on with your quest.

It is very confusing at first, but the only reason you can’t leave is because of Ranni. She blocked the door until you talk to everyone in the tower. Once you do so, you are free to do whatever you want to. It can be annoying when the game doesn’t tell you what to do, but it doesn’t hold your hand at all. Some people don’t like that, but most people accept the challenge.

If you keep some sort of journal next to you while you play, you can keep track of what certain NPCs tell you. If you write it down, they won’t forget and it can be extremely beneficial to figure out what to do next. If you are annoyed with the game not telling you, then get over it. That is how FromSoft wanted us to play it.

Is Ranni’s Questline long?

Ranni’s questline is one of the longest in the game. It actually has its own separate areas that you can only get to if you follow her quest. The quest is also the longest questline that has an achievement that goes along with it. If you do finish her questline, you get the Dark Moon Greatsword which is an exact copy of the Moonlight Greatsword from the Dark Souls Series.

There are a lot of nods to the Dark Souls series and the same for Sekiro. Summoning Ranni is also a reward for completing the questline because it gives you one of the good endings to the game. It is definitely worth doing her quest because of all the extra bosses you get to fight and the areas you can go to.

Most questlines in the game are worth doing because the longer-running quests will actually give you some insanely good rewards. You will get Ancient Dragon Smithing Stones, Legendary weapons, Spells, Incantations, and a ton of other amazing items. Just make sure you know what you are doing when you first start the quest.
