Elden RIng has a ton of side quests to find and complete, and some are much longer than others. Some might have you go and find an item for a person, and others might have you do multiple steps just to complete it. It is up to you to figure out what to do next, which makes the game fun. One question is, why can’t you get out of Ranni’s Rise?
If you try to get out of Ranni’s Rise after talking to Ranni at the top of the tower, you must talk to all the ghost people downstairs before leaving. Once you talk to everyone, talk to Ranni again at the top, and she will say you should continue your quest.
It is confusing initially, but you can’t leave only because of Ranni. She blocked the door until you talked to everyone in the tower. Once you do so, you can do whatever you want. It can be annoying when the game doesn’t tell you what to do but doesn’t hold your hand. Some people don’t like that, but most people accept the challenge.
If you keep some sort of journal next to you while you play, you can keep track of what NPCs like Ranni tell you to do since the game won’t give you any sort of quest indicator.
Is Ranni’s Questline long?
Ranni’s quest line is one of the longest in the game. It has separate areas you can only get to if you follow her quest. The quest is also the longest questline that has an achievement that goes along with it. If you finish her questline, you get the Dark Moon Greatsword, an exact copy of the Moonlight Greatsword from the Dark Souls Series.
There are a lot of nods to the Dark Souls series, and the same for Sekiro. Summoning Ranni is also a reward for completing the quest line because it gives you one of the good endings to the game. It is worth doing her quest because of all the extra bosses you can fight and the areas you can go to.
Most questlines in the game are worth doing because the longer-running quests will give you some insanely good rewards. You will get Ancient Dragon Smithing Stones, Legendary weapons, Spells, Incantations, and many other amazing items. Just ensure you know what you are doing when you start the quest.
